OXO Good Grips Mandoline Slicer
I love my Mandolin - and OXO makes the safest and easiest one to use and clean. Its one of the few tools that makes preparing ingredients easier while improving your cooking with even size cuts.
You put your product into the guard, push down, and run it back and forth over the blade. Adjusting the size is as simple as turning the knob on the side to your desired width (measurements are on the knob). It also has a setting for French fry cuts and you can alternate the blade for gaufrette cuts, ie "Ruffles Potato Chips.".
In addition this is a must have tool for the fall, especially thanksgiving. With all the fall and winter squashes, potatoes, and apples, you need a tool that can cut these dense ingredietns with precision and ease for your casseroles, gratins, and galletes.
Here's some great fall recipes that are a synch when using a mandolin. |
